Notice the split. On TikTok, views pay in cents and brand deals pay the rest, which is the opposite of how YouTube works.

An estimate. Creator Rewards rates vary by country, watch time, and whether a video clears the 1 minute minimum, and brand rates depend far more on engagement and audience quality than on follower count alone. Not affiliated with TikTok.

Brand deals follow reach. CaptureFlow turns one idea into a week of content across every platform.

How TikTok money actually works

Views pay in cents on TikTok, and that is the whole story

TikTok has no equivalent of YouTube's ad revenue split. The Creator Rewards Program pays on qualified views of videos longer than one minute, and the real-world rates land in cents per thousand views rather than dollars. A million views can pay less than a single modest brand deal.

This surprises people who assume the platforms work alike. On YouTube, views are the business model. On TikTok, views are a distribution engine that builds an audience you monetise somewhere else. The calculator splits the two streams out so you can see that gap rather than average it away.

Why brand deals are priced off followers, not views

Sponsors buy access to an audience, so they price per thousand followers rather than per view. Rates commonly sit somewhere between ten and ninety dollars per thousand followers for a single sponsored post, with the spread driven almost entirely by niche and engagement quality.

That is why a 20,000 follower account in finance can out-earn a 200,000 follower account in general entertainment. Advertisers chasing high-value customers pay far more for a viewer who might become one. If you are choosing what to make content about, this number matters more than your view count ever will.

What the calculator cannot know

Two things move real earnings more than any input here. The first is engagement quality: a small, highly engaged audience commands better rates than a large passive one, and sponsors increasingly price off comments and saves rather than followers. The second is geography, since Creator Rewards rates vary substantially by the country your viewers are in.

Treat the output as a starting range for a negotiation, not a valuation. If you are quoting a sponsor, the low end of the brand deal range is a floor to negotiate up from, and your engagement rate is the evidence you use to do it.

FAQ

Good to know.

How much does TikTok pay per 1,000 views?

Through the Creator Rewards Program, roughly $0.30 to $1.20 per 1,000 qualified views depending on niche and viewer country. Only videos longer than one minute earn at all, and only qualified views count, so earnings across your total view count are lower than the headline rate suggests.

How much money do TikTokers make?

Far more from brand deals than from views. A sponsored post typically pays $10 to $90 per 1,000 followers depending on niche and engagement, which means one deal often outearns a month of Creator Rewards. Accounts that monetise only through views usually earn very little, regardless of size.

How many followers do you need to make money on TikTok?

The Creator Rewards Program requires 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days. Brand deals have no formal minimum, and creators with a few thousand highly engaged followers in a specific niche regularly get paid, sometimes at better per-follower rates than much larger generalist accounts.

Does anything I enter leave my browser?

No. The whole calculation runs locally in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server, stored, or shared. This tool is also not affiliated with TikTok.
