What are the character limits for each platform?
This tool checks against the current caps: X is 280, Threads and Pinterest 500, a LinkedIn headline 220 and a post 3,000, Instagram and TikTok captions 2,200, a YouTube title 100 and description 5,000, and Facebook 63,206.
Where do posts get cut off before 'see more'?
The hard limit isn't the whole story. LinkedIn collapses a post at around 210 characters on mobile and Instagram at about 125, so your hook needs to land before that. The tool flags both.
Does it count spaces and emojis?
Yes. The character count includes spaces and counts each character the way the platforms do. You also get a separate no-spaces count and a live word count.
